Application to Call Centres.
The noise levels experienced by a Call Center employee are the conseguence of
acoustic enviromental noise (caused by multiple simoultaneous conversations)
and the noise perceived directly from the headset, where study demonstrated that
80dB(A)levels are commonly reached at normal telephonic conversation volume.
For this reason it's mandatory the adoption of a control device, in order to
control and, if necessary, limit the noise level perceived.
Until nowadays, for the measurement of headset sound exposure levels,
an ISO technical norm envisages the use of a mannequin which simulates a duplicate
of the operator?s ear: surely very costly.
Eustachio had been developped in order to emulate this recognised method
for measuring headset sound exposure: the dB(A) level could now reasonably measured
and stored for future controls.
